Another spot, on my homepage <www.keesboomsma.nl/notes> I use specifically for some of the notes I make while reading or researching.
I’m still looking for a microblog platform in the fediverse that allows real posts (not constrained by a character limit) and is not hopelessly cluttered or crippled (or still in development). For now, I will use this platform to place some of my posts (particularly longer posts).
Some of the older posts here are from a Mastodon instance that I hosted myself and had hacked to allow 5000 character length posts. I decided to discontinue that instance (some of the reasons: money, little added value, maintenance).
